How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and improve the BabysitterChicago platform.
  • To match parents with relevant sitters based on search filters.
  • To process and manage booking requests.
  • To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, account notices).
  • To help parents find sitters that match their family's needs.
  • To enforce our Terms of Service and community guidelines.

Information Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
  • Sitter profile information (name, photo, neighborhood, certifications, reviews) is publicly visible.
  • Parent names and contact information are shared with a sitter only after a booking is confirmed.

Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Booking records are retained for 3 years for dispute resolution purposes.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support.

  • Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
  • We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure.
